Main duties included Ceramic tiling for Kitchens, Bathrooms, Hallways. Painting & Decorating. Roofing & Slating. Basic Joinery.  Skilled at laying my own designed or customer created/designed Patio’s. Pathway/Driveway Slab’s. Landscaping to the customers plans, while offering laminate flooring, carpeting & loft insulation services.

While working in a training centre, duties included laying foundations for floors, floor assembling, building stud partition wall's and the building of all components for kit house's in factory which would then be transported to site then erected to kit house specifications set. 

Worked towards Plant Machinery Certificate building private office space's/study rooms and extensions in restored premises on locations of private land owners. 

Became Assistant to Plumbers, Electricians, Joiners and Roofers carrying out wall cavity insulations and reconstructing buildings into flats for private owners.

Undertook all temporary construction work available through the Agency having a good awareness of health & safety regulations while working on sites where asbestos was present.

Also responsible for general tidying of sites and local areas around construction sites.

Undertook temporary contracts in all construction in the local areas and further a field. 

Often worked in different locations on a weekly and monthly basis.

Main duties included groundwork however fencing and mono-blocking were also of high demand. 

Undertook general tidy of sites whilst adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Geo-blocker/Labourer

Duties included laying geo-blocks for paths and restoration of reservoirs.  Worked as part of a team which was influential in the revamp of local wildlife spots.

 

Aug 2000 ~ Dec 2000        Argos, Greenock

            Storeroom Assistant

Role involved packing shelves, delivering goods to front desk for customers and loading/unloading of vehicles when required. 

 

Dec 1999 ~ May 2000    Machine Operator    Fullertons, Greenock

Role involved line work, installing components for computers, quality testing computers, store room work and recycle work.

 

Nov 1998 ~ Nov 1999    Trainee Instructor    Parklea  Association Branching Out Ltd,

Duties included working alongside community service workers, assisting disabled groups in a garden centre. Other roles involved: Fencing, Horticultural work, Agricultural work, Installing fountains & underground heating pipes, Sandstone block laying, Brick laying.

2008 ~ 2012:

Built Hutches, Pen’s for Guinea pigs, rabbits etc, built Aviary’s, Sheds and fencing for enclosures. 

2007:

Ritchies Training Centre Ltd

10 day training course in Telescopic materials handler, all duties that were required by the company were for basic skills only, passed the course. Need at least 300 hours of experience after training. 

 

2007 ~ 2012:

Designed & laid slabs for patios & pathways, normal slabs & crazy paving. 

Worked as a Slater’s mate, working on roofs fixing gutters, fascias.

Award presented for showing concern for the health & safety of others when working with all types of machinery.

Certificates: Basic Construction Skills, Health & Safety, First Aid and Maintenance of Hand Tools.

Additional Information

 

In my spare time I take part in all Martial Arts and train my daughter on a daily basis.  I also like Astronomy, hiking, playing football, gaming, drawing, painting, walking, swimming and website designing in spare time.
